Apartments Have Berry Good Location

James L. Mathias is building a 20-unit apartment complex at 315 Berry St. in Springdale. He got a $400,000 construction loan May 3 from Community Bank for the development.
The 400-SF efficiency apartments are located near downtown Springdale within walking distance to the Harvey and Bernice Jones Center for Families and several production plants, including Tyson Foods Berry Street plant, Danaher Tools and Rockline. Mathias is still seeking tenants.
The developer is also close to filling a nearly-completed, 20-unit apartment complex across from the Springdale Municipal Airport at 500 Charles Ave. The $300,000 project was also funded by a loan from Community Bank.
All of the apartments feature kitchen appliances, washers and driers.
