First Security Bank of Searcy bought two acres along Joyce Boulevard for $520,000 on July 7 and plans to build a branch of the bank on the property.

The bank bought the land from Vantage Square LLC. Vantage Square is a joint venture between A.W. Realty Co. and J.E. Lindsey Family Limited Partnership. The deed was signed by Jim Lindsey as president of J. Edgar Lindsey Inc., which is a general partner in Vantage Square, Stanley D. Green as president of A.W. Realty and Greg Kerly as secretary of A.W. Realty.

Vantage Square owns about 60 acres along Joyce Boulevard east of U.S. Highway 71B near the Northwest Arkansas Mall. The land is selling for about $6 per SF.

First Security Bank is owned by the Rutledge family, which includes Reynie Rutledge, Lindsey’s brother-in-law and chairman and CEO of the bank. The Fayetteville location will be the bank’s 14th branch. The bank has assets of about $395 million.
