Lost on Cupit Street

The reason Frank Smith and his namesake Rogers real estate company is suing Bert Bennett and his Cupit Street LLC of Fayetteville is because the Century 21-affiliate is three months behind on its rent.

Smith is accusing Bennett of falling behind on the $1,000-per-month lease agreement for June, July and August. The suit says Cupit has removed itself, but not all of its personal property, from the office at 211 N. 34th St. in Rogers.

Cupit has since consolidated its Benton County operations into the Beau Terre Office Park in Bentonville.

Bennett received the summons on Aug 25 and returned it to the county Aug. 30.
