Tom Tam, the owner of three Panda Restaurants, plans to begin construction soon on a new one in Springdale.
The Chinese restaurant, planned for a 2.5-acre lot north of the Harps Food Store on U.S. Highway 412, should be open around March, Tam says.
The restaurant will be 9,000-SF in size, about 2,000 SF larger than the Panda Restaurant in Fayetteville. Tam opened the first Panda in Hot Springs around 1992. He also has a Panda Restaurant in Rogers.
Tam plans to open another Panda Restaurant every other year. The next Pandas are slotted for Conway, Fort Smith and Little Rock.
