Stephen Todd Hutchison

Stephen Todd Hutchison of Fort Smith, Arkansas, succumbed to his 10 1/2 year battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by family.

He was born on April 15, 1969 in Huntington, West Virginia, served in the United States Army, and attended Ohio State University. He was very gifted in many aspects of building and home remodeling. His most recent job was with Blaylock Heat & Air in Fort Smith. His hobbies included attending NASCAR races, woodworking, building computers, and reading.

Todd loved his family, friends, and dog KT. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Strobel and husband John of Charleston, Arkansas; his father, Stephen Hutchison and wife Bonnie of Crown City, Ohio; three sisters, Tammy Davis and husband Bruce, Stacy Rogers and husband Jamie, Amanda Bowman and husband Bradley, all of South Carolina; along with several cousins, nephews, and one niece.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of 3300 and 5500 wings of Mercy Hospital for their loving care in his final days.

A family memorial is being planned at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
