Alford named CEO of Arkansas Realtors Association

The Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA) recently named industry veteran Andrea Alford as CEO. Most recently, Alford was executive director of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC).
At the AREC, she was recognized for her experience in public administration and real estate regulation. Before being AREC executive director, she was deputy executive director and has 15 years of experience with the state agency. The AREC is responsible for the examination, licensing, and regulation of real estate brokers and salespersons, and through administration of the Arkansas Time-Share Law.
While at AREC, she spearheaded professional development and industry engagement, including launching the AREC Educator Retreat and executing conferences and training programs.
Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles in the human resources field. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, she holds state and national public manager certifications.
She is involved in the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials, previously serving on its board of directors and as senior district and district vice president. She is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
The Arkansas Realtors Association touts itself as the “voice of real estate” and supports residential and commercial brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and others engaged in the real estate industry through professional education, communications, technology, legal information and other services.
