Euronet Software promotes Tony Warren to President and Managing Director

Euronet Software, a division of Euronet Worldwide, announced Monday (Aug. 19) the promotion of Tony Warren to President and Managing Director.

A Euronet employee since 1995, Warren will now be responsible for the management, operations and strategic planning for the company’s software division in Little Rock, servicing more than 120 global financial institutions and the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) business segments.

“We are truly fortunate to have someone like Tony assume this critical role,” said Kevin Caponecchi, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of epay, EFT APAC/MEAP & Software at Euronet Worldwide. “His 24 years’ experience in the payments industry combined with his understanding of technology and leadership skills make him a fantastic choice to lead Euronet Software.”

As President and Managing Director, Warren will guide Euronet’s next generation payment processing technology that powers ATMs, digital wallets, alternative payments, point of sale terminals, ecommerce, cross-border money transfers, and digital content distribution used by consumers, banks, retailers and other businesses worldwide.

“In addition to our historical offering of value-added payment and account management software products, I am very excited to lead the offering of our newly developed technology ecosystem we call REN,” Warren said. “REN leverages our 30 years of experience in the banking and payments industry and complements it with advanced and emerging industry technology such as card-less accounts and transactions, security authentication, real time payment and settlement, phone-based transactions and virtual accounts.”

Warren’s efforts also include software that enables banks and other companies to add flexibility, modernization, and speed to aging payment systems as well as offering financial payment convenience to millions of individuals around the world who may never before have had access to such technology.

Warren most recently served as Executive Vice President of Euronet Software, leading Euronet’s ITM software solutions including sales, marketing, product management, development, implementations, and customer support.

A Little Rock native, Warren brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the financial services industry with more than 24 years’ hands-on experience as a vice president, director, and programmer in the payments industry. Today, his organization includes more than 120 highly skilled professionals, with an average tenure of more than 12 years with the firm.
