Van Buren-based carrier USA Truck has abbreviated its name and added two words: Capacity Solutions. The carrier announced Friday (Nov. 30) the change to “USAT Capacity Solutions” is a better reflection of its focus on capacity solutions to enhance customer experience and service quality.
The carrier works to improve the customer experience with comprehensive solutions, efficient processes and customer-facing systems. The rebranding reflects the shift toward customer experience as being one of the company’s highest priorities.
“The USA Truck brand needed to be refreshed to bring clarity and unity to all of our service offerings as the company moves toward excellence and growth,” said Tim Guin, executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “The brand is one of the most recognized brands not only in our industry but also throughout the country.”
The carrier has more than 2,000 trucks in its fleet, and USAT Capacity Solutions offers the following services: dedicated, intermodal and logistics. The logistics segment includes more than 15,000 trucking partners that handle dry van, refrigerated, flatbed and heavy haul freight. The company also handles freight to and from Mexico.
“We want customers to think of USAT Capacity Solutions as the ‘go to’ provider when they have challenges in their supply chain,” President and CEO James Reed said. “Our new marketing brand is more consistent with our stated strategy and organizational priorities.”
Shares of USA Truck (NASDAQ: USAK) were trading mid-day Friday at $20.30, up 11 cents or 0.54%. In the past 52 weeks, the stock has ranged between $29.15 and $16.61.
