One of his most rewarding challenges has been implementing the state’s first Real Time Network for surveying, construction and machine control.

The network is one of three in the world running on wireless communications.

Hopper graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2004 with a degree in information systems. After working at his own company for a year and a half, Hopper returned to his hometown of Rogers to work for Crafton Tull, where he’s been for eight years.

Hopper worked in three positions for the company in programming and strategic systems, and now manages information technology for the company’s six offices.

Hopper said his goal for the future is to help Crafton Tull become a known solutions provider for IT services.

He’s motivated by his family, and would like to see his children have unlimited opportunities in Northwest Arkansas.

“I don’t want my kids to be limited if they choose a field like mine,” he said. “I want them to be able to do anything anywhere, but I’d specifically like for them to be able to stay here.”

Hopper serves on the advisory board for Northwest Arkansas Emerging Leaders, a program aimed at retaining young leaders and engaging them in the community.
