Business Lunch – The Market at Pinnacle Point

In keeping with our Rogers Rainmakers theme for this issue, The Market at Pinnacle Point has certainly managed to make something special happen with its most unique combination rest-aurant/retail food store and coffee shop.

rYou can browse through items that are rarely, or even never before seen in Northwest Arkansas, at The Market. rThen you can settle down for a deli-style lunch with many selections most assuredly unlike any other menu in the area.

rThree of us enjoyed our first trip to The Market recently and caught ourselves pointing out items to each other and asking workers to describe exactly rwhat it was we were looking at.

rIn some cases, the label did us no good.rIt won’t be your cheapest lunch in Northwest Arkansas, but it’s hardly outrageous either.

rOne member, obviously in the mood for crab meat, chose both the Crab Cakes ($6) and Crab Balls ($5.45 per pound).

rWhile the cakes were good, the balls were somewhat of a disappointment. They are large and rolled in Thai noodles.

rA cup of very hot sauce, given the diner to dip the crab balls into, certainly spiced things up. But an order of Dill Potato Salad ($4.87 per pound) cooled his lips.

rOur second diner dove into one of the larger Chicken Chimichangas ($6) we had seen. The maxi-chimi was filled with red and green peppers, cheese and large chunks of chicken.

r”Pretty good,” was how this low-key diner described the chimi. He found room to finish off a very tasty and very spicy Bean Salad ($4.87 per pound).

rFinally, our third diner asked for a slice of the meat Lasagna ($7.89 per pound), which turned out to resemble something just short of a brick in size.

r”Extremely meaty,” said the diner. “And, man, is it good. It ranks in the top three lasagnas I’ve ever had. And the other two were home-cooked.”

rThere were numerous items from which to select, such as the large grilled portabella mushrooms ($3.88) and chicken Kiev ($7).
