Ozark Natural Foods recently purchased a building permit valued at $600,000 for its new structure in Fayetteville.

ONF is currently located in a 3,000-SF building at 205 Dickson St., but it is plans to relocate Nov. 6 to the site of the former Montgomery Ward store at 1554 N. College Ave. in Evelyn Hills Shopping Center. That building will be 13,800 SF. There is an additional 10,000 SF adjacent to the building that ONF may use in the future, as well as 23,800 SF on a lower level that could eventually be used for community rooms and classrooms. The company is expected to double its employees from 25 to 50 once it relocates.

The new confines for ONF will have natural light from skylights installed.

ONF is a member-owned natural foods cooperative store. While the store encourages ownership opportunities, shopping is open to the public. Those who invest in ownership own equity in the store. It sells organic produce and natural products. There is a bulk department for grains, flours, etc.

With the additional space, the store will expand its product line and services. There will be a delicatessen with a full-service juice and coffee bar. There will be pizza and rotisserie chicken available, as well as prepackaged beef and poultry.

The building’s current owner is Weingarten Realty Investors of Houston.
