Funding ‘Anywhere In The World’
Lost in Arkansas Capital Corp. Group’s creation of Diamond State Ventures is another new division of Little Rock-based ACC, Capital Resource Corp.
Capital Resource will focus on finding sources of financing for small businesses from in-state or out-of-state sources, says Sam Walls, ACC’s executive vice president.
“If you are looking for capital, if you will come [to Capital Resource], we will proactively assist you in obtaining capital anywhere in the world,” Walls says.
Capital Resource has formed alliances with a capital network in Austin, Texas, Walls says. Capital Resource is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
“Fully developed, [Capital Resource] will generate more investment dollars than all the other things we do,” Walls says.
Arkansas Capital Corp. announced recently the formation of Diamond State Ventures, a $15 million venture capital fund to assist small business with financing.
Diamond State is being licensed by the Small Business Administration as a Small Business Investment Co. That allows Diamond State to offer as much as $60 million in funding for businesses, four times the size of the private investment by venture capitalists.
