Euro Daisy
You’ve probably heard by now that Daisy Manufacturing Co. has sold its Rogers real estate but you may not have heard the final price. Euro United Corp., maker of plastic outdoor furniture and housewares, paid $3.2 million for the property, which includes a 287,600-SF building and an 8,000-SF outbuilding on a 21.3-acre site.
Bill McClard, the Lindsey & Associates agent who represented Daisy in the deal, indicates the sale took some effort. “We had mailed brochures all over creation,” he says.
Daisy previously moved the largest part of its manufacturing operations to Missouri but it will retain 42,000 SF in the Rogers building for its contract shot and ammunition operation. Company headquarters will move to another Rogers location but Adam Blalock, Daisy’s president, says that lease hasn’t been finalized.
Euro United, based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, plans to have 100 to 200 employees during its initial operations, which are expected to begin by late July. But the company’s new property allows plenty of room for expansion, even if that requires construction – a possibility indicated by a Euro United spokesman.
