Northwest Clinic for Women Purchased by Regional
Washington Regional Medical System has purchased Northwest Arkansas Clinic for Women. It is the eighth clinic to join the system. The deal includes the physicians’ practices as well as the real estate owned by the clinic.
Dr. Clifford Councille, Dr. Mitchell McAlister, Dr. Mark Pickhardt and Dr. T. Hal Bradford are the clinic’s physicians. Mari Slape is a registered nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife.
The physicians and Slape will move into the new women’s and children’s hospital being constructed by Regional once it’s completed. In the interim, they will continue seeing patients at their office at 3276 N. Hills Blvd. The new hospital is expected to open in the fall of 1999 in North Hills Medical Park in Fayetteville.
Regional’s system president, Patrick D. Flynn, said in a prepared statement that the clinic and the hospital had a longstanding relationship. “By combining the resources of our locally owned and governed hospital with the physicians’ leadership, we help assure continued excellent health care for women and families in our Northwest Arkansas community.”
Other clinics in the system include JPA Clinic in Fayetteville, Winslow Community Health Center, Hidden Springs Diagnostic Clinic in Bentonville, Lowell Medical Center, Eureka Family Medical Center and Hospital Island Medical Clinic in Carroll County and Countryside Medical Clinic in Huntsville.
