From lines of hungry construction workers to receiving lines, Pruden Caterers can provide the dinning services for those with blue or white collars.

Joel Pruden and his brother, Brian, former owners of Jake’s Grill in Springdale, provide catering service for corporate parties, weddings and luncheons, starting at a cost of $5 per person to “as high as you want.”

“We can do anything from club sandwiches to oysters Rockefeller and duck pate,” Pruden x says. “We also have several varieties of smoked meats and barbecue. We’ll also provide waiting staff, a meat carver and bartender. Basically, everything you need from a seven-course meal to a buffet.”

Currently, the Prudens operate three lunch trucks that service Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville. Joel, head chef for the business, says, aside from the usual snacks, they offer a full breakfast in the morning and lunch specials each day. For breakfast, they make ham and cheese omelettes, sausage hash browns and a few other morning favorites. The lunch dishes can range from Tex-Mex style fajitas and chimi changas to hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy.

While running Jake’s, the Prudens also operated the catering service and one lunch truck.

“It really got to be too much,” Pruden says. “So we sold the restaurant and started this business thinking we’d at least have our weekends off. Now, weddings have booked every weekend until October.”
