After sitting in relative obscurity in a back corner of the Ozark Factory Outlet Mall, JP’s Koffee Mill has moved up front to the food court and has experienced a re-grand opening of sorts.

Owner Phyllis Keller says the store moved about three weeks ago and has seen a steady increase in store traffic.

“Well, it seems to have picked up quite a bit,” she says. “I’m hoping the new location will help. We were back in with the Subway, but it went out of business and left us there by ourselves.”

With the store out in the open, people won’t be able to miss the aroma of JP’s 25 different blends of coffees, espressos and teas. JP’s also has a select variety of gourmet hot chocolates, bagels, muffins and hot soup. Keller says within the next few weeks she plans to offer a line of ice cream.

“We really have a demand for it,” she says. “I’ve wanted to branch out and espresso shakes are really big.”

Keller got her taste for coffee working as a registered nurse in Springdale. She and her husband were looking for a change and decided this was relatively uncarved niche.

“And that’s how my husband and I first met, over a cup of coffee,” Keller says.
