Forty Under 40: Becky Fink

As operations manager for Paytime of Springdale, Becky Fink’s days fill with the details of payroll production. Providing direct customer service and troubleshooting problems make Fink’s job fulfilling as she said she enjoys analytical thinking.

Now with 100 clients in the area, up from 50 clients just a year ago, Paytime’s services include delivering payroll, manager’s reports and tax information to the customers. Accuracy ranks high on Fink’s list of priorities as each client depends on the company to perform accounting tasks for each pay period.

As more businesses choose to outsource less productive tasks such as payroll, Fink said Paytime faces further growth in the area. Technological advances, such as electronic timekeepers, also contribute to a lucrative business.

For the past two years, Fink, 26, has been training to become a certified payroll professional through the American Payroll Association.

Before joining Paytime two and a half years ago, Fink attended the University of Arkansas and graduated as a registered nurse from the Baptist School of Nursing, now the Har-Ber School of Nursing, in Springdale. Fink said the people skills she learned in nursing school have helped her develop solid business relationships.
