Koenig Caught Unlicensed

Joe Koenig, a CPA in Harrison, has according to the Arkansas Board of Accountancy practiced for the last two years without a license. The last year he was licensed, the board said, was 2000.r

He is in the process of getting reinstated, but during the last two years he apparently did audits and other work in violation of Arkansas law. That work apparently includes two years worth of audits for the city of Harrison and the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District.r

It’s not clear from speaking with the state board what becomes of the work done by Koenig during that time, but it’s possible that work could be declared uncertified.r

A telephone message left on the office answering machine of Koenig and his wife, Mary Koenig, was not returned.r
