Emeril Eyes Ella?s

Two of the world’s most famous chefs have made reservations to dine at Ella’s Restaurant in October.r

Emeril Lagasse and Paul Prudhomme, both of New Orleans, have made reservations for different weeks in October, said Lyle James, chef de cuisine at the restaurant that opened in late August in the University of Arkansas’ Inn at Carnall Hall.r

“I didn’t get to talk to them,” Lyle James said. “Neither did Miles [James, the chef]. I think it will be good to get some feedback from world-renowned chefs … We’re not going to go out of the way to try to wow them. We’re going to treat them just like everybody else.”r

Lagasse has six restaurants: Emeril’s, NOLA and Delmonico, all in New Orleans; New Orleans Fish House and Delmonico in Las Vegas; and Emeril’s in Orlando, Fla. Prudhomme owns K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen and is known as the inventor of blackened redfish.r
