Neal Johnson, owner of Richland Construction Co. of Springdale, is building a $1.2 million professional office building at 1702 Southwest Commerce St. in Bentonville. The 20,000-SF facility is located in the Commerce Center office park.
The property, which includes two acres and enough room to expand the building to 53,000 SF, is near the intersection of Arkansas 102 and Walton Boulevard and only a few hundred yards from the corporate headquarters of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
The building will be brick and feature a pitched metal roof.
Johnson, who is both the building’s owner and the general contractor, is still seeking tenants. Space will lease for about $14 per SF.
