Mold builder expands with new warehouse

Manufacturing Specialities Inc. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is building a new $1.3 million, 40,000-SF warehouse at 2714 S.E. Industrial Parkway in Bentonville. MSI subsidiary MSI Moldbuilders will operate out of the facility.
MSI Mold Builders makes makes plastic injection and structural foam molds for vendors who call on Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The molds are used to make numerous plastic products from shipping pallets to two piece plastic dog houses.
Construction on the warehouse is supposed to be completed around July 15 and the mold building operation could relocate there as early as Aug. 1. The company will use about 10,000 SF of the new warehouse and the remaining 30,000 SF will be configured to suit tenants and leased out.
The real estate was purchased from the Bentonville Industrial Development Council for about to $80,000.
