McIlroy, Arvest Top Mortgage List

With the results in for the first four months of the year, McIlroy Bank & Trust Co. leads Washington County in number of mortgages issued.
Washington County Abstract & Title Co. compiles a monthly list of mortgages filed in the county, and, for January through April, McIlroy issued 399 mortgages. Arvest Mortgage Co. did 354, or 15.3 percent of the market, while NationsBank did 220 mortgages, or 9.7 percent of the market.
Jim Glenn, president of McIlroy, says many of the mortgages that went through Arvest Mortgage began with his bank. The 399 mortgages listed for McIlroy are all notes that the bank will keep on its books, he explained. Those notes sold on the secondary market are issued through the mortgage company.
