American Freightways Corp.

For the 15th-straight year, American Freightways Corp. of Harrison has received the coveted Quest for Quality award for outstanding customer service given by Logistics Management & Distribution Report. The trade publication announced on Sept. 8 that its readers ranked American the No. 1 multi-regional less-than-truckload carrier in the nation for the year 2000.

In selecting winners, some 3,000 subscribers and customers rated the carriers they regularly used in five performance areas considered crucial to logistics excellence: customer service, on-time performance, value, information technology, as well as equipment and operations.
