Margie Lou English, age 94, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, entered her eternal rest on July 21, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Margie was born on February 3, 1932, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Emma Triplett Spoon and Elmer Spoon. She was married to her beloved husband, Leroy English, on April 30, 1949, in Van Buren, Arkansas. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
Throughout her life, Margie devoted herself to caring for others. She worked as a seamstress and was also a foster grandparent for Muldrow Schools. Her kindness, compassion, and nurturing spirit touched countless lives.
Margie was a spiritual woman; her Pentecostal faith remained the foundation of her life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with those she loved. She will be remembered as a wonderful woman of faith who loved deeply and treasured her family and friends.
Margie is survived by her two children, Melissa Sanders and husband Darrel of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Jerry English and wife Sandy of Charleston, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Kevin, Hunter, Rhonda, Lavonda, Kayla, Steven; 10 great-grandchildren; Dakota, Kinley, Shada, Bailey, Austin, Taylor, Lyla, Timothy, Nevaeh, Bryson, Joey, and Tyler; and two great-great-grandchildren, Khloe and Santiago.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Emma Spoon; her beloved husband, Leroy English; her son, Eddie English; and her siblings, Lee Spoon, Bobby Spoon, Erma Jean Humphrey, and Betty O’Kelley.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with a funeral service held the following Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Roland Pentecostal Church, officiated by Steven Gray and Roger Dean. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrel Sanders, Hunter Sanders, Kevin Buck, Blake Scott, and Rick Hensley; and Scott Robertson is serving as honorary pallbearer. Interment will take place at Roland Cemetery, and lunch is to be served at the church following the service.
The family would like to give a special thank you to NHS Sequoyah Hospice Care, which she loved like family. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
