Pediatrics Plus acquires Cynergy Rehab Group, Arkids Pediatric Day Centers
Pediatrics Plus, an Arkansas-founded pediatric healthcare provider, announced Thursday (July 16) the acquisition of Cynergy Rehab Group and Arkids Pediatric Day Centers. The move significantly expands access to comprehensive pediatric therapy and developmental services for children and families across the state.
Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds 12 locations, including developmental preschools, outpatient clinics and extensive school-based therapy partnerships throughout Arkansas, creating one of the state’s largest providers of pediatric therapy and developmental services. The combined organization will employ approximately 2,100 team members and operate locations across Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
Founded in Arkansas in 2002, Pediatrics Plus has grown from a home-health therapy provider into a leading pediatric healthcare organization.
“This is more than an acquisition. It’s two Arkansas organizations coming together around a shared mission,” said Scott Street, CEO of Pediatrics Plus. “It’s also an investment in our people. By combining our strengths, we can expand resources for children, families and team members while ensuring more Arkansans have access to the comprehensive services they need close to home.”
Founded in 2008, Cynergy Rehab Group and Arkids Pediatric Day Centers have spent nearly two decades serving children and families throughout Arkansas.
“For nearly 20 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving children and families throughout Arkansas,” said Ronnie Norman, Founder and CEO of Cynergy Rehab Group and Arkids Pediatric Day Centers. “As we looked toward the future, we weren’t simply looking for a buyer. We were looking for a partner that would honor our mission, invest in our people and continue putting children and families first. Pediatrics Plus shares those values. This partnership allows us to preserve the culture and relationships that have always defined our organization while creating new opportunities for the families we serve.”
Kevin James, COO of Cynergy Rehab Group and Arkids Pediatric Day Centers, said the partnership creates new opportunities for team members and strengthens their ability to serve communities across Arkansas.
“Our success has always been driven by our people,” James said. “This partnership gives our team access to additional resources, support and opportunities for professional growth while allowing them to continue doing what they do best — serving children and families. We’re excited about what this means not only for our employees, but for the communities that depend on us every day.”
Pediatrics Plus said it plans to keep Cynergy and Arkids employees in place. Norman will become an observer on the Pediatrics Plus Board, and James will continue serving in a leadership role as Pediatrics Plus begins the integration process.
Stephens Inc. served as exclusive financial advisor to Cynergy Rehab Group and Arkids Pediatric Day Centers for this transaction.
