Thomas Edward Adams

Thomas Edward Adams, 83, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. He was born on August 15, 1942 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Elzie and Josie (Rogers) Adams. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked at Baldor Electric and then retired from Rheem Manufacturing. He was of the Church of Christ faith and was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ralph, Rusty and Clyde Adams.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith with burial with honors to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.

The family will visit with friends from 4-6 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Doris Adams; three sons, T.J. Adams and his wife Allison of Fort Smith, Ronnie Schoeppey and his wife Christina of Lavaca, AR and Michael Schoeppey and his wife Melissa of Pocola, OK; eight grandchildren, Cameron Adams, Lexie Edwards, Isaiah, Christian, Josh, Andy, Isaac and Trenton Schoeppey and three great grandchildren.
