Evelyn Gayle (Faldon) Williams

Evelyn Gayle (Faldon) Williams possessed the heart of a servant. Her physical heart failed on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

She was born September 1, 1955 to Barbara (Walters) and Dwight H. Faldon, Sr. The second of six children, Gayle contained a wealth of knowledge about Crawford County, and the people who reside there- perhaps because she was kin to most of them! Gayle was a multifaceted jewel of a Godly woman; a fascinating combination of wise and witty. In September of 1973, she met Mike Williams; they were engaged by November, and married February 1, 1974. Those crazy kids grew up together, clinging to the love they found, and walking together for over 51 years in the love of the Lord.

The spiritual gift of Gayle was granted was a servant’s heart, which she backed up with willing hands that could administer help, healing, and delicious dinners. She also possessed an abundance of mercy, and was an encourager to all; but you had best be prepared to hear the truth if you asked, as she was honest to a fault.

Those left to carry Gayle’s legacy of laughter and love are: her husband, John Michael Williams, son John Eric Williams, daughter Misty Ann Williams and her husband Eric; three grandchildren, Ariauna Case and her husband Issac, Mariah Brooks, and Caden Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Hadleigh, Oliver, and Jiraiya Case.

Gayle is also survived by siblings Yolanda Mullins and her husband Lawrence, Dwight H. Faldon, Jr. and wife Cindy, Tawana Ballinger and her husband Don, and Angela Brewer and her husband Dale. Those who went before her were her parents, and brother Jeff Faldon.

Pallbearers are: John R Echols, Zachariah D. Echols, Eric M. Williams, Caden E. Smith, Joe Faldon, and Doug Smith.

The service will be at Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Family Worship Center in Van Buren, or the Van Buren Public Library.
