Kistler Center adds two speech-language pathologists

Ashley Bishop and Emily Robertson have been hired at the Kistler Center in Fort Smith.

Bishop, a speech-language pathologist, interned at the Kistler Center from August to December 2010. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a master’s degree in May 2011, and immediately joined the Kistler Center staff. She lives in Van Buren with her husband, Austin.

Robertson interned at the Kistler Center from January to April 2011. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas in May,2011, and then joined the Kistler Center staff as a speech-language pathologist. Robertson lives in Van Buren with her husband, Philip, and dog, Carly.

The Kistler center provides rehabilitative services for children in the Arkansas River Valley area regardless of the family’s financial means. Parents and family members also receive support from a community environment built around the camaraderie of of caregivers, therapists and other families in the same situation. The center offers physical, occupational and speech therapy to children with special needs.
