Arkansas Heart Hospital planning Bryant facility
The Arkansas Heart Hospital is planning a 186,000-square-foot facility in Bryant that will employ 200-250 people and be completed by July 2020, according to a press report.
The hospital’s plans were discussed in a meeting May 17 of the Bryant Development Review Committee, as reported by Sarah Perry with The Saline Courier. A groundbreaking ceremony would occur in July of this year.
In a statement provided by the hospital to Talk Business, Arkansas Heart Hospital President and COO Drew Jackson said, “It is our intent to introduce a new project that will bring economic development and growth to Saline County. As we continue to develop plans we appreciate the continued support of the community.”
The hospital said in the statement that details will be released later this year.
The four-story hospital and two-story medical office building would be located on Arkansas 5 near Interstate 30, the Courier reported. Bryant Planning Director Truett Smith said the property has space for two additional buildings and a parking deck.
This would be Arkansas Heart Hospital’s second hospital facility. It also operates 30 community clinics, including one in Benton.
The project still must be considered by the city’s Planning Commission, the Courier reported.
