LeAnn (McKinney) Patterson
LeAnn McKinney Patterson, age 62, of Greenwood, AR went to her final rest the morning of June 15th, 2026 at Mercy Hospital of Fort Smith surrounded by the love, devotion, and singing of her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her daddy, James “Darrell” McKinney. She is survived by her momma, Peggy Ann (Holland) McKinney; her loving and devoted husband Glenn “Ray” Patterson; her children Christopher, RoxAnne, and Ron (Cassie); grandchildren Bryce Page (Emmy), Luna Standley, Rayne Patterson; and great-grandson Jeremy Page; siblings Therese Edwards of Reynoldsburg, OH; James “Jimmy” McKinney of Fort Smith, AR; and Robin McKinney of Muldrow, OK.
LeAnn was born in Fort Smith, AR, and grew up on the southside of town, attending Beard Elementary, Ramsey Jr High, and Southside High School. In 1983, she was attending Westark Community College as a nursing student when she met her husband Ray. Though she swapped nursing for business, LeAnn decided to keep Ray and they were married one year after their first date on September 15, 1984.
LeAnn was the co-owner/operator for The Strike Zone Sports Cards and Collectables; Patterson Vending; A Lock Doctor locksmithing service; and River Valley Celebration Center (RVCC) where she was an event coordinator and hosted karaoke parties, quinceañeras, weddings, and flea markets. Throughout the years she also held jobs working as summer help at Whirlpool, monitoring alarms and dispatching for GuardTronic, and working as a water management tech for Floservices.
For all her adventures, LeAnn considered her children and grandchildren her greatest triumph. Being a mom and later “Momaw” brought her such joy and fulfillment.
LeAnn was widely known for her wit, wicked sense of humor, and the numerous pranks she’s pulled over the years. Making people laugh brought a light to her eyes that persisted until her final days.
LeAnn will be cremated per her wishes, and those that knew her are invited to join her family in celebrating her life at 2pm on June 28th, 2026 at Ed Wilkinson Pavilion, Bell Park, 1050 Bell Park Rd Greenwood, AR 72936.
Food and flower contributions are welcome, but not expected, and may be received at the pavilion at 10am, June 28th. No dress code; come as you are.
May her memory be a blessing.
