Gary Don King

Gary Don King, age 76, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on June 5, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1949, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to John Henry King and Mamie Frances Stroud King.

Gary was a proud graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith. He worked for Armbruster Stageway Industries as a door and limousine builder, took pride in a job well done, and was respected by those who worked alongside him.

On July 2, 2012, Gary married Barbara Ann Blalack in Russellville, Arkansas. Together, they shared 13 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories. He had a passion for antique cars, loved fishing, and above all else, Gary loved God and his family with all his heart. His kindness, dedication, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara King; his daughter, Nanette Peters and husband, Van; his grandchildren, Tyler Peters and wife, Ashley, and Ashley January and husband, Trevor; and his great-grandchildren, Peyton, Clayton, Avery, and Clint. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie King; and his siblings, Eugene, Betty, and Martha.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery with Bishop B.J. Thomas officiating. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception at 1:00 p.m. at The Pentecostal Church. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
