Tonya Denise Gordon

Tonya Denise Gordon, age 51, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on May 17, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1975, to the late Billy Eugene Thomas and Judy Ann (Gordon) Thomas.

Tonya was a proud graduate of Northside High School, Class of 1993. Following graduation, she dedicated many years of hard work to her career with Whirlpool before later devoting her time to caring for her home and family as a homemaker.

Tonya had a passion for singing and was known for her beautiful voice, able to sing just about anything. Cooking for those she loved brought her great joy, especially preparing favorites like pork chops and fish for her family.

Tonya will be remembered as a fearless, honest, and strong woman who lived life unapologetically and always spoke from the heart. She was fiercely loyal to her family and stood beside them through every season of life. Above all else, Tonya deeply loved her children, and they will forever cherish the memories of her love, strength, and devotion as a mother.

She leaves behind her five children, Bryant, Brandon, Cameron, David, and Alyssa; her grandson, Bryant Crocker III; her brother, Greg Sr. and wife Yolanda; her sister, Twana; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Judy Thomas; her former husband, David Triplett Sr.; and her grandmother, Annabelle Gordon.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith, with Reverend Wesley Hooks officiating. Interment will take place following the services at Washington Cemetery in Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be James Hughes, Jordan Dawson, Michael Vann Sr., Michael Vann Jr., Garrett Gordon, and Luther Gilyard. Honorary pallbearers are Horace Ard and Henry Bell.

Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
