The Broadband Association of Arkansas, formerly the Arkansas Cable Telecommunications Association, announced longtime executive director Joe Molinaro will retire his post at the end of the year. Molinaro is the longest serving executive director in the organization’s 50-year history.
Since joining the association in 2008, Molinaro has been an advocate for the cable and broadband industry, representing members’ interests before policymakers, regulators, and the public.
Through nearly two decades of work, he has helped guide the association through periods of rapid technological change, industry consolidation, and legislative reform.
“Joe has seen it all in his time with our industry,” said Len Pitcock, regional vice president of Cox Communications, and chairman of the board. “Joe started when we were still delivering analog cable service across many parts of the state. Today’s technology is a far cry from those days. His ability to lead through this transformation has been a tremendous asset to our association. We’re going to miss him.”
The Broadband Association of Arkansas is a leader in helping Arkansans stay connected to the digital world. Its member companies serve hundreds of thousands of residential, business and government customers every day.
The search for a new executive director will begin in the coming weeks. Details for interested parties will be posted at www.broadbandaa.org.
