Gerald Frederick Ottmer

Captain Gerald Frederick Ottmer, age 97 of Fort Smith, AR went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2026. He was born August 4, 1928, in Lakewood, NJ, the youngest son of the late Fred and Eugene Ottmer. Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Jane Ottmer; his children, Mark Ottmer and his wife, Susan, Julie Ottmer, and Sarah Ottmer; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at McConnell Funeral Home on April 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a burial at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
