Sandra Mitchell

Sandra Mitchell, 87, of Rudy, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at her home. She was born September 19, 1938 in McAlester, Oklahoma to the late John Thomas and Elizabeth Secrest.

Sandra was a missionary for World Indigenous Missions leading trips worldwide for over 10 years. She was a proud military spouse and dedicated mother and grandmother.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2026 at Fort Smith National Cemetery with interment to follow under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday January 29, 2026 at Ocker Chapel of Alma, 917 Hwy 64 E., Alma, AR 72921.

Sandra leaves behind her husband Bill Mitchell of the home; sons, William Mitchell, Jr. and wife Deborah and Christopher Mitchell; grandchildren, Leah Rossum, William Mitchell, III, Patricia Bunton, Rianne Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell and Heather Mitchell; great grandchildren, Adalei Goff and Cooper Bunton.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Mitchell, Peter Rossum, Dillon Bunton, Zachary Scroggins, Charles Lamb and Darin Vanourny.
