Don Martin Sosebee, 69, of Barling, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Born on May 3, 1956, in Fort Smith, Don was the son of the late Roy Martin Sosebee and Elizabeth “DeeDee” Caps (Sosebee).
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Don served his country honorably during the Vietnam War, demonstrating the steadfast commitment and quiet strength that defined much of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Sosebee; his parents, Roy Martin Sosebee and Elizabeth “DeeDee” Caps; and his brother, Michael Sosebee.
He is survived by his son, Nathan Sosebee and wife, Maria of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Aaron and Adalyn Sosebee; his brothers, Graff Sosebee of Vista, California and John Doss of Pensacola, Florida and his sister, Kimberly Brown of Milton, Florida.
Don will be remembered for his quick wit and dry humor.
Graveside memorial service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 8 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas.
