Zelma Green, aged 81, passed away on June 4, 2025, in Fort Smith, AR. Born on February 9, 1944, Zelma was known for her fun and engaging personality throughout her life.

Zelma graduated from Northside High School and went on to manage the cafeteria at Hartford Public Schools.

In her leisure time, Zelma enjoyed visits to the casino, and cherished the company of friends and residents during her last year and a half at Brookdale Senior Living. These moments were filled with lots of laughter, representing her spirited approach to life.

Zelma is survived by a loving family, including her daughter, Nanette Adair (Bud); Grandchildren, Hollie Morgan (Jackie aka The Favorite), Ryan Ohm (Sherry), Chelsey Elmore (Ryan), Hayden Ohm (Kimberly), Krista Hitt, Joshua Adair; Great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alyssa Ohm, Adelynn and Jaci Adair, Zayne Deville, Braxton and Sage Womack. Siblings, Jerry Irvin, Tressie Alonzo, Selma Neihouse, Darlene Bune, Juanita Lambert, and Ben Irvin; niece Nancy Barnes (aka The Last Favorite).

Zelma was preceded in death by her husband Charles Green; daughter Dana Wetherington; brothers, Elmer Irvin, and Reuben Irvin; and parents, Sherman and Hallie Irvin.

A private family service will be held at a later date to honor Zelma’s memory.
