Diona Shaundell (Carter) Cost

Diona Shaundell Cost, 60 of Fort Smith Passed away from Huntington’s Disease, on 6-4-2025. She was born 2-21-1965, in California; Diona was one of two beloved daughters of Bill and Fran Carter. She loved her two children more than anything. Before her disease hindered her, she enjoyed mountain biking, rock climbing, and kayaking. Just living life to the fullest.

She is survived by her Mother Fran Carter, Daughter Lydia Turner, Son Ty Turner (Tiffany), her Grandson Kallan Turner, and her Sister Kimberly Condry. We would also like to thank all her beloved Facebook friends who kept her going even when days were too hard for her.

We want to thank The Blossoms of Fort Smith for caring for and loving her for the past eleven years. Along with her Hospice nurse Kayla with Area Agency on Aging, the comfort you provided for Diona, and her family will never be forgotten. Along with a thank you to the Lewis Funeral Home for all the wonderful things you have done not only for her, but also us as a family.

A graveside memorial will be held at Lamar Cemetery, Lamar AR and this will be at a later date.
