Calvin Pierce

Calvin Pierce, age 88, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was born May 2, 1937 in Vesta, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Ollie Pierce. Calvin retired from James River Dixie Cup after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Joy Group and the Cliffhanger class.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ollie Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Pierce; his daughter, Meissa Coats; two grandsons, Kyle Self and Kevin Coats; his sister, Lola Daniels; and two nephews, Bobby and David Daniels.

A funeral service for Calvin will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, AR. Following the funeral service will be a private family graveside at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.
