James “Jim” Walter Vaught, 70, of Mountainburg, AR died January 16, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents, James and Fanita Vaught, and sister Anne Vaught-Pemberton. A lifelong native of Crawford County. A Mountainburg High School and Oklahoma State University graduate, Jim was an avid reader and constant researcher, always learning something new. Always willing to fix what needs fixing, lend a helping hand, and tell a few jokes along the way. Jim epitomized selflessness. Jim regularly reminisced on his early logging career with his father.
