Edna Marie Greene

Edna Marie Greene, 83, of Alma, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Edna was a member of First Baptist Church of Alma, and a member of the Red Hat Society of Alma. She began her career working in accounting for First Merchants Bank in Fort Smith and later went on to work for Alma Aviation LLC and finally retiring from Ema Foods Company in Alma. Edna was born September 19, 1941 in LaGrange Georgia to the late Howard and Agnes (Mann) Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Agnes Arnold, and brother, Bill Arnold.

Funeral service will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Alma First Baptist Church with interment to follow at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 20, 2025 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Pallbearers will be Roger Rickard, Ronnie Newton, Renny Chesshir, Tom Leverette, Larry Ruth, and Wayne Beck. Honorary pallbearers will be the Arkansas Military Veterans Hall of Fame members and the Darby Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. Services are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Edna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Keith Greene of the home; sons, Michael Keith Greene and wife Kimberely of Suffolk, VA, William Sherman Greene and wife Yelly of Van Buren, Arkansas; grandchildren, Alex Greene, and Natasha Greene.
