Talk Business & Politics to launch daily legislative session news program

Talk Business & Politics will launch a daily news program in January 2021 that will cover action at the state capitol during the 93rd Arkansas General Assembly regular session.

The program will host on TalkBusiness.net and be shared via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and through daily TB&P emails.

The 20-minute video newsmagazine and podcast will feature news of the day from legislative committees and the Senate and House chambers; interviews with state legislators, other elected officials and government leaders; and a number of reporters and opinion leaders.

“This coming legislative session will be different than any we’ve ever experienced before,” said TB&P Editor-in-Chief Roby Brock, who will host the daily program. “We feel like elected officials and those who are interested in policy and politics will be limited from the normal news flow during a regular session due to COVID-19 precautions. Our daily show will provide a thorough recap of what happened that day and what to expect as issues advance.”

The daily show will be produced Monday through Thursday beginning January 11, 2021 – the opening day of the session – and will run through the session’s final day. It will be pushed out for viewing around 6 p.m. daily.

Talk Business & Politics news team has been covering the state legislature for nearly three decades. Executive editor Michael Tilley and reporters George Jared and Steve Brawner will anchor daily news coverage for TB&P.
