Michelle Rupp joins AFMC in new VP role

Michelle Rupp has joined the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care in a newly created position as Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Strategic Development.

Rupp’s has a 20-year background in communications and public relations, most recently at Arkansas Heart Hospital where she served as director of public relations and communications.

“I am thrilled to join such a talented group and look forward to bringing my experience to this organization” Rupp said.

“Michelle will lead initiatives in communications and strategic development as we work towards diversifying our customer base,” according to Ray Hanley, President and CEO of the non-profit health care improvement organization.

Previously Rupp worked at the American Red Cross, was main anchor at WCAV in Charlottesville, VA., and a reporter at KATV in Little Rock.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science degree in geoscience from Mississippi State University.

Rupp is a board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas and is also president and founding member of their Red Shoe Crew.
