Simmons Bank has named Itzel Meador as Small Business Association (SBA) regional manager of sales and business development for its eight-state footprint. Meador’s responsibilities include SBA loan production, oversight of Simmons’ SBA lending processes and customer experience.

Meador brings more than 20 years of experience to her role at Simmons, having previously served as vice president in the commercial lending group at Regions Bank in Arkansas. Prior to that, Meador served as senior vice president at Arkansas Capital Corporation, a nonprofit lending company that specializes in SBA lending.

“Itzel’s passion for serving small business owners is unparalleled and is backed by outstanding experience in the Arkansas market,” said Mark Wilson, Simmons Bank director of small business lending. “She is a tremendous asset to our customers and team, and her expertise will further solidify Simmons’ position as a top 100 SBA lender in the country.”

A graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas, Meador is a member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and serves as a board member and treasurer for the Small Business Technology Development Center and Children’s Protection Center, respectively.

Meador also serves on the loan committee for Rural Missouri Incorporated (RMI), a certified development company that processes SBA 504 loans. 504 loans are designed to provide long-term, fixed-rate financing with low down payments to businesses and are used to acquire real estate, machinery or equipment for expansion or modernization.
