Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, a Cajun-themed restaurant/sports bar co-owned by football star Drew Brees, has completed a $1.36 million deal for a two-acre site at Lewis Ranch in Conway.

“We are super excited to break ground on our first location in Arkansas,” Chris McJunkins, Walk-On’s Arkansas franchisee, said in a statement. “My family has deep roots in the state, and we look forward to providing the residents of Conway a first-class food and beverage offering.”

Lee Strother and Cole Herget of Colliers International Arkansas in Little Rock represented the seller and Chris Moses and Greyson Skokos of Newmark Moses Tucker Partners in Little Rock represented the buyer.

“Colliers International, along with the ownership of Lewis Ranch, is thrilled to announce Walk-On’s recent acquisition,” Strother said. “This purchase is a launching pad for the Lewis Ranch development and we will have several new announcements to make in the near future.”

The Conway restaurant will be approximately 8,400 square feet and is scheduled to break ground in the next month, with a projected opening of February 2020.

“Newmark Moses Tucker Partners is very excited to be a part of the Walk-On’s team here in Arkansas and we look forward to announcing four more new locations in the coming months,” said Chris Moses, president and CEO of Newmark Moses Tucker Partners.

Walk-On’s founders Brandon Landry and Jack Warner were both “walk-on’s” for Louisiana State University’s basketball team, according to a news release. They introduced their Walk-On’s restaurant concept in 2003. Brees, an NFL All-Pro Quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, joined the company as co-owner in 2015.
