Little Rock-based carrier Rich Logistics, a company of Roadrunner Transportation Systems, received the 2017 Global Leader Award at the Automotive Leaders Summit in Mexico City. Shannon Everett, chief operations officer at Rich Logistics, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

The award was given to organizations committed to “excellence and innovation, contributing to the success of Mexico as a leader in the global automotive industry,” according to a news release.

Everett was proud to receive the award at the summit. “It is our team’s expertise, professionalism and dedication to premium service that has made this accolade possible,” he said. “Formal recognition as a leader in the automotive industry is a true honor and will continue to inspire our team to provide industry-best service. The automotive supply chain is constantly evolving, and our team looks forward to continuing to move the needle to help build more agile and progressive transportation solutions for the automotive industry.”

The summit, which took place Oct. 2-3, is an annual conference on industry trends, forecasts and strategies and is attended by executives in the automotive supply chain. This was the second year it was hosted in Mexico.

Since 1996, Rich Logistics has provided cross-border logistics services, including truckload, expedited and door-to-door transportation, for the automotive industry. The company provides just-in-time supply chain services, allowing parts and equipment to be shipped from factories to assembly lines to reduce warehouse cost and excess inventory.
