Patients needing non-life threatening medical care in the emergency department or after hours clinic at Conway Regional Health System can schedule appointments online, according to a news release. The hospital is the first in central Arkansas to offer the online system, with goals to reduce wait times for patients and provide more convenience and comfort.

“Many patients who come to the emergency room or after hours clinic don’t need immediate or life-saving treatment, but they do need medical care,” said Matt Troup, president and CEO of Conway Regional Health System. “By providing them tools to schedule an appointment online, we are giving them the opportunity to wait in the comfort of their own home until they can be seen by a medical professional.

The ability to wait at home can “greatly reduce the stress of the situation and improve patients’ overall experience,” Troup said.

Access to the online system, InQuicker, is available on the home page of the hospital’s website.  From there, patients can schedule an appointment at the emergency department or after hours clinic. Patients will be asked why they are seeking treatment after registering. An email or text will be sent to confirm the appointment.
