Achievements: Serves as CEO of largest hospice organization in Northwest Arkansas; managed significant growth of the organization since she joined the team in 2008; maintained a positive culture focused on providing the best in compassionate end of life care.

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working? “Most anything that is outdoors. Seasonally, it’s on the water, but if on land, I like to have my hands in the dirt.”

What would most people be surprised to learn about you? “I’m an introvert — happiest behind the scenes, quietly going about my business.”

Who is your most influential role model? “My dad. I worked for him in his pharmacy throughout high school and college. He always gave each customer his personal attention, no matter how busy he was. A number of those customers couldn’t afford the medicine, but that did not stop my dad from providing it. He would say, ‘They need the medicine as much as those who can pay for it.’ My dad also gave back to his community through years as a city councilman and as the mayor of Springdale. The value of inclusion, importance of relationships and service to others was woven into our family lifestyle.”

Where do you see yourself in 20 years, career wise? “I see myself on a remote island selling one-of-a-kind, and personally discovered, seashells.”
