Bentonville Exercise Studio To Open This Fall
FreeRide, which will feature barre and choreographed indoor cycling, is set to open in Bentonville in mid-October.
The brainchild of Betsy Soos, the location at 3406 S.E. J St. will have two studios, one for barre — a fitness regimen that incorporates Pilates, yoga and ballet — and one for 28 stationary bikes.
Soos and her husband, Craig Soos, recently purchased the 6,200-SF building for $640,000.
The cycling studio will be outfitted with a state-of-the-art sound system and will also feature candlelight. Cyclists will perform choreographed jumps, sprints and hill climbs to a soundtrack of motivational music. The studios motto is “Free your mind, free your body, free your soul.”
Soos said she was inspired to open her own cycling-barre studio after visiting venues in major markets such as New York. FreeRide will be based on a pay-per-class basis. Soos said she wants to open similar studios in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas City, Missouri, and Springfield, Missouri.
“It’s a concept I’ve been working on for a long time,” she said.
