Hull Helps Another Health-Based Business

It seems Craig Hull has made Northwest Arkansas healthier again.

Hull, owner of commercial real estate firm Hull & Co., represented the lessor and lessee in a recent deal that will result in the former home of Buddy’s Home Furnishings — on West Walnut Street in Rogers — being transformed into GPP Fit NWA. The latter is a gym, more or less, that will be run by Kevin Whaley.

We understand GPP Fit will feature programs for kids and endurance athletes in addition to more standard offerings.

Hull, some might remember, leased the space on Fayetteville’s Dickson Street in Fayetteville that became the home of Clubhaus Fitness.

More Health

And while on the subject of health clubs, fitness-conscious residents of Springdale may soon have another option for their business.

Whispers has heard that Planet Fitness, a national fitness center chain based in New Hampshire, is negotiating a lease agreement for a location in the 21-acre Legacy Center retail development on West Sunset Avenue at the corner of South 40th Street.

The 193,000-SF center, which includes Legacy National Bank, Lowe’s and Office Depot, has about 28,000 SF of available space.

The development owner is C.L. George & Sons LP, led by Gary George and Cathy George Evans.

Planet Fitness, you may recall, opened its first Arkansas location a year ago in a 25,000-SF space in the Frisco Station Mall in Rogers.
